7 Important Questions To Ask Yourself Before The Year Ends

  1. On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with 2012?
I would give 2012 an 8! Out of 10...

  1. Why did you score that way?
Reason for no 8...
ehem! if there's 7 wonders of the world...  mangkali sa buli jadi yg numbul 8! hahaha :P

Nah! *geleng2 kepala*  That's not it!

2012 has offered me a chance to be:
- the-almost-perrrfect 'geisha' that I can be
- a cheerful giver; Giving the best that I could to serve HIM (that would mean my involvement in Lifeline College Students and Young Adults Ministry of SHC, Kota Kinabalu and SYD-3 Paraliturgy Team)
-  able to play a part in conserving the nature. That comes in package with experience to see wildlife + GAJAH! in the wild and that add 1.5 to the total scale for 2012 :D

That was the 1st half of the year (at least up to May 2012)… The rest of the year was a bumpy ride! >.<

My left distal femur was fractured! Its pathological fracture (which means it was not caused by any trauma eg. accidents, falling from stairs). I’m experiencing the early stages of osteoporosis often called as ‘the silent disease’. The loss of bone progresses gradually and you won’t realize that you have it until you break a bone!

I was unable to walk or even use my left leg for the last half of the year (up to Nov 2012)..

Oh well!

If life gives u lemon, you ask your dad (or any of you family members) to buy chicken and make the best lemon chicken out of it! Of course, that would be apart from making the best lemonade to quench your thirst la hehe

P/S: I’m really glad to have my family and friends to walk through this journey with me. And guess what!? No surprise...that’s where most of the points that add to the total scale for 2012 comes from.

  1. What are your biggest accomplishments this year?
I survived:
-       2 months wearing cast (unfortunately, it didn’t work for me)
-       an operation to attach a 5-inch Titanium bone plate with 9 screws to my distal femur

Ber’wheelchair-wheelchair in public area (ie. Klagan Hotel, Warisan Square). Some might think it’s pitiful and embarrassing, and it applies to me too, but I managed to pull it off.

Being able to walk after about 4 months ++ after operation! (walaupun masih pakai walking frame hehe). My doctor said that the maximum recovery time would be around 6 months ++ after operation. So, kira okay laitu 4 bulan lebih sikitttt… hihi

“Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand, Then you stand”
-    (Stand, Rascal Flatts)

  1. What are the biggest lessons you learned this year?
This is easy!

I learn the importance of milk for woman... health must comes first before hate hahahaha (Disclaimer: saya tidak suka minum susu!!)

  1. What are your biggest goals that you want to achieve next year?
First! I need to be able to walk without any support… (This would help to accomplish ‘Joannie’s mini goal’ to produce a video to fundraise for the kids of Bajau Pelauh HAHAHAHA!)

And my biggest goal for 2013 would be *drum rolls* to be able to stay in my own house (Author says: SPNB!! – you better kasi siap my house next year!!!)

  1. What new habits do you want to cultivate?
I have 3!

First, Drink milk!
Second, Drink milk!
Third, Drink milk!

Oh BTW, that includes having diary products in my diet.. How’s that!? :P

  1. What are your immediate next steps to achieve them?

I’ll just go with the flow…
Looking forward for what 2013 has to offer! Yihaaa…
